Value-minded buyers who want a house and garden near Cherngtalay without the coastal premium.
Inland Thalang, in the belt of villages between Si Sunthon and the coast.
About 20 minutes.
Residential and local. Very little happens here, which is the point.
Phuket runs a dry season from November to April and a green, wetter monsoon from May to October. It is warm all year - rain arrives in short heavy bursts rather than grey days.
Khok Tanote is one of the small inland names that appear on listings without most buyers knowing quite where they are. It sits in the residential belt behind Cherngtalay, where the land is flat, the lanes are quiet and the prices are set by local demand rather than by the beach.
What it offers is straightforward: more house and more garden for the money, with the same schools, shops and beaches as addresses costing a good deal more. It suits people planning to live here rather than holiday here.
The area lies between Si Sunthon and Cherngtalay in Thalang district, a few minutes from the main north-south road. Bang Tao is around twelve minutes west, the airport twenty minutes north and Phuket Town half an hour south.
There is no commercial centre of its own; Boat Avenue and the Si Sunthon stores serve it.
Everything we would actually point a client towards — restaurants, beach clubs, schools, clinics, markets and services — mapped and filterable.

Nothing listed under that category here yet.
Like most of inland Thalang, this was smallholding country — rubber, fruit and small-scale farming — with a village built around it. Residential development arrived as the coastal areas filled and buyers began looking inland for land.
Growth has been piecemeal rather than master-planned, so the housing stock is a mix of older Thai homes and newer individual builds.
Quiet lanes, mostly single-storey homes, gardens and a good deal of green between plots. It is a working residential area rather than an expat enclave, which some buyers actively want and others find isolating.
Local Thai kitchens and a few roadside spots nearby, with the full range at Boat Avenue ten minutes away. Nothing here is aimed at visitors.
Local shops for basics, with supermarkets, hardware and banks around Si Sunthon and Porto de Phuket within ten minutes.
UWC Thailand is about eight minutes away. Clinics are nearby, hospitals in Phuket Town around thirty minutes. A car is essential.
Twelve minutes from Bang Tao sand at inland prices — the whole proposition in one line.
Unlike the coastal strip, bare land does come up here, which is why self-builders look this way.
UWC Thailand is closer from here than from many addresses costing twice as much.
Inland Thalang, in the belt of villages between Si Sunthon and Cherngtalay. Ten to twelve minutes from Boat Avenue and Bang Tao.
Yes, if you want quiet and space and are content to drive. It is not an area with a social scene of its own.
Stock is houses on land, so purchases are typically a registered long lease over the land with ownership of the building, or another lawful structure. There is essentially no condominium stock here.
Parts of inland Thalang sit low and can hold water in heavy monsoon rain. It is plot-specific and worth a proper check before committing — we look at it as standard.
It tracks the wider Thalang market rather than leading it. The value case is space per baht today rather than rapid appreciation.
Yes. There are no footpaths and no useful public transport.
