This was plantation land that filled in as Laguna and Cherngtalay grew and buyers wanted houses rather than hotel rooms. Development came estate by estate rather than as one master plan, which is why quality varies noticeably between sois.

The older estates, now mature, are generally the better bet — their infrastructure has been tested by twenty monsoons.

Quiet residential sois, mostly single-storey and two-storey pool villas behind walls, with a good deal of greenery. Several estates have security and shared maintenance; others are simply streets. The difference matters and is worth checking.

Boat Avenue, five minutes away, is the local strip and covers everything. A handful of Thai kitchens and cafes sit along the Pasak roads themselves.

Porto de Phuket and Villa Market are minutes away, with the larger stores on the Thep Krasattri road slightly further. Very well served.

UWC Thailand is around eight minutes. Clinics are in Cherngtalay; hospitals in Phuket Town about thirty-five minutes. A car is expected here.
