Shooting for Light, Not Just Coverage

Phuket’s light is the greatest asset a property here has, and it is entirely a question of timing. Interiors are shot when the sun is off the glass and the rooms hold their natural warmth; pools and terraces are photographed in the softer light of early morning or late afternoon, when water reads blue rather than white; and the last minutes of dusk, with the interior lighting balanced against a deep sky, produce the images that buyers remember.

The shot list is planned in advance rather than improvised. Every principal room, the flow between indoor and outdoor living, the view from the positions where it is genuinely enjoyed, the kitchen and bathrooms in detail, the approach and entrance, and the features that distinguish the property — a pool pavilion, a rooftop terrace, mature planting, a particular outlook.

Preparation is part of the service. Before the shoot we go through the property with you: what to clear, what to store, which lights to replace, whether to bring in flowers or additional styling. An hour of preparation consistently improves a set of photographs more than any amount of subsequent editing.

Honest Editing and Complete Delivery

Images are corrected for colour, verticals and contrast, and cleaned of the distractions that add nothing — a hose across a terrace, a reflection of the photographer, litter on a beach. What we will not do is remove a neighbouring building, exaggerate a sea view, or produce a room that cannot be recognised on arrival. Photography that oversells simply produces disappointed viewings and wasted weekends.

You receive a full set of high-resolution images licensed for the sale or letting of the property, along with versions sized and cropped for portals, social media and print. Where a home is being marketed internationally, we also supply a smaller curated selection — the ten or twelve frames that tell the story properly — because a well-edited set outperforms an exhaustive one.
